Free Diving Mermaids
Our performers are trained professional freedivers, but freediving is never the starting point — the animals are.
Every aquarium habitat is different, and the presence, behavior, and needs of the animals must guide every decision. We work with each facility to determine whether mermaid performance is appropriate for its animals, and what type of performance, if any, is the right fit.
We follow the facility's established protocols and prioritize animal welfare throughout the process. If a particular habitat, animal, or situation calls for a different approach, we adapt the program accordingly.
When freediving is appropriate for the habitat and approved by the facility, it allows our performers to create a natural underwater experience without scuba tanks or hoses. But the performance always remains secondary to the animals and the aquarium's standards
